Watch Our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine in Action

If you’ve ever wondered how printed circuit boards are assembled, this video offers a peek into the speed and accuracy of modern-day surface mount technology (SMT) machines:

This is one of our JUKI pick-and-place machines in action on its way to assembling one of the 6,000 boards required for this particular job.

The fast-moving head unit in the middle picks up parts from feeder banks loaded with various components before placing each part on the circuit board already stenciled with solder paste.

This particular machine has six heads, so it can pick up and place six parts in just one pass. Some machines have twelve heads or more!
